Let’s talk about Maple Story. My absolute favourite 2D MMORPG game. They have the cutest things in Maple Story. Ranging from evil mushrooms to penguins and more. Ahh, I squeal in delight every single time I come across a new ‘enemy’.
Aren't they cute? Maple Story have several, how should I say this, versions? Not exactly the right word to use but I can’t think of anything else. Since I’m Malaysian, I use the Maple S.E.A version. It’s joint between Singapore and Malaysia. So whenever I log in, I’d have to click on the Malaysia icon. From there, you’ll log in and choose the server you would like to use. I use Gemini, channel 6 or 2. Depends on how many people are there. I like the ones with less players cause pro players like to bully the new ones. I’ll only join the more populated channels when I’m pro-ish :D

Anyway, there used to be five paths available for you to choose from (Bowman, Magician, Thief, Warrior, and Pirate). They still are but now, there are other paths to go when you choose one of the main five (I think); Aran, Dual Blade, Evan or Knights of Cygnus. I was pleasantly surprised. I’m not entirely sure on how it works because I stopped playing Maple for about 2 years but I’ll get the hang of it.
There are several job advancements. For example, when you reach level 20, you get this title (like blade recruit) and when you reach level 30, you get a different title (blade acolyte) and it goes on until you reach level 155 if I’m not mistaken. The highest level is 200. Now that is something someone like me can only dream of getting. I wonder how long it took them to level up. I’m only in my 33rd level but boy, it’s a pain in the tush leveling up constantly. It’s fun but very tedious.
Hm, what else? Oh, you can even get married in maple. Seriously, no joke. I’ve seen the village haha.

See? I told you.
You can even have a family and juniors below you who follow you around (well, not really but kind of like that.) But that’s not the best thing about Maple.
The best thing about this game is the fact that you can interact with people. You sort of form an online bond with other players (hence getting married and having a family with juniors and stuff) and well, it’s nice. You get to spazz with someone who understands because most of my friends in the real world don’t really like Maple that much so I feel kind of trapped whenever I want to talk about Maple because I can’t cause they won’t get it and would just give me that one look that says ‘Darling, you need a life, here, in the real world.’
Well, the real world sucks sometimes. It’s nice to have a get-away from it.
That’s it for now, buh-bye. (Credit goes to Google for all the pictures)
Oh and by the way, I made a wordpress blog. Don't you think it looks better? I might gradually leave and post there completely but we'll see :)
