 Another Lazy Day

Just as the title says, today was just another lazy day. Ever since school's over ( but sadly, SPM isn't yet. It'll end on the 20th), I really don't have much to do. I wake up, I freshened up, and I go online for the whole day. Sometimes, I'd go downstairs to watch TV or play my PlayStation 2 (By the way, I so want a PlayStation 3 for Christmas!). But today, I finally went out again. Don't know what made me do it but I dragged my brother over to McDonald's for lunch. (Later, my dad had a sudden craving for McDonald's ice-cream so he and my mom came over to join me and my brother. Haha. Half of the Williams were hogging the table at McDonald's today.)
I also did something I haven't been doing lately. I started wearing eyeliner again. I know what you're thinking, 'So?' Well, me wearing eyeliner just to go to McDonald's is like an ex smoker taking up smoking again. Don't get it? I'll make it easy for you.
It's a big deal.
And quite frankly, I don't know how to explain why. It just is. It's one of those things you can't explain why. But maybe it's because the old me is coming back. Confused? Okay, I'll stop my nonsense.
Anyway, after I got back home. I was back to being bored. Great. But then, I saw something shiny shimmering in the sunlight (I had my curtains tied) and there it was, beckoning me to use it; my camera. So I allowed myself to be vain and cam-whored the whole day. A total of 247 pictures taken. A personal record *laughs*
In the midst of cam-whoring, an epiphany hit me and I just had to switch the sides of my bangs. from right to left and *snap*. Boy, did that change how I looked. Here are pictures.

Bangs parted to the right-side (forgive the odd expression. I was trying *failed* to wink)

And this, my bangs parted to the left-side
See the differences? Though I know the camera angle is different but still, I look at myself everyday haha. My face looks longer when it's on the left and rounder when it's on the right (It's always on the right by the way. Haih. No wonder I look round all the time *laughs*) It's amazing how a simple thing such as changing your bangs parting can do to your face. Since I'm already talking about changes to one's appearance, let's talk about plastic surgery.
I know, I know. This topic is a bit on the taboo side but we, as a community, should acknowledge this ever growing trend. Honestly, I usually don't really care what people do to themselves because after all, it's their body, they can do whatever they want with it right? But with plastic surgery, the risk of someone losing their life while going through such procedures are very very high. Anesthetic failures, very poor quality of implants, too much silicone and the list goes on.
There's a lot of successful stories, and yes, they look beautiful and dashing after. But what about the ones that failed? Whatever happened to them? People don't know. Why? Because they only look to the people that came out beautiful and dashing. The ones that don't, don't really matter.
It's this kind of mentality that drives people who are already attractive to begin with to strive for 'beauty perfection' that, in my opinion, does not exist. If only the world was less shallow...
Well, I'm not going to dive into this matter further because, like I said, it's a bit on the taboo side of topics to blog about. Some things are better left kept to yourself.
